We loved the peppery, tangy, citrusy flavor of Lemon Pepper Wet wings so much, we turned it into a seasoning that has quickly become one of our top-selling blends. And now, because we apparently can’t leave well enough alone, we turned that blend into a new sauce.
"When the team challenged me to take our top blends and create some sauces, I knew Buffalo Lemon Pepper had to be one of them. You taste it and you say “ah buffalo sauce” and then the lemon, pepper, mustard, and honey hit. This sauce is something completely new and (in my humble chef opinion) needed." — Chef Tony Reed, Senior Director of Culinary
KEY FLAVORS & INGREDIENTS
Bright lemon zest. Cracked black pepper. Classic buffalo heat. A tangy vinegar backbone. A hit of sweet thanks to honey. And here's the twist: this sauce builds its creamy, glossy body without a drop of dairy. Nutritional yeast delivers a subtle buttery depth, while Dijon mustard and a neutral oil does the emulsifying heavy lifting. The result is bold, bright, balanced, and ridiculously smooth.
HOW TO USE IT
This sauce is the full-circle moment. Lemon Pepper Wet became a Spiceology blend — and now that blend has become a sauce again. Which sounds like it should cancel itself out, but it doesn't. The dry seasoning opened up new cooking techniques: char, rub, crust. The sauce brings it home. Creamy without cream. Buttery without butter. And packing that unmistakable citrus-heat combo that started this whole journey. Use it straight, or use it as your base for something even bigger.
APPLICATIONS
Let’s be honest. You all know how to put buffalo sauce to work. Replace your standard buffalo sauce with this leveled-up version. So basically, shake that sh*t on everything that needs bold, tangy flavor. Need some inspiration?
-
Tossing & Saucing – This is the classic move. Toss wings or tenders right out of the fryer (or oven, grill, etc) for max coating and full coverage.
-
Dipping & Dunking – Serve alongside sandwiches, fries, tots, or pizza for table-side drizzling.
-
Drizzle & Finish – A slow pour over flatbreads, grain bowls, or roasted cauliflower goes a long way.
-
Flavor for Sauce Builds – Use it as the flavor component in a spicy aioli sandwich spread, or salad dressing. Mix it into ranch or yogurt to create an insta-sauce.
WHAT IT'S GOOD ON
Wings (obviously), chicken tenders, crispy sandwiches, waffle fries, tater tots, pizza, flatbread, roasted broccoli, grain bowls, and anything else you'd normally dunk in some buffalo deliciousness.
